i havent seen many good games come out recently :\
There are a lot of good things slated for release next FF, Kingdom Hearts, Last Guardian, etc
If you find video games to be not interesting currently try board games, tabletop games or pen & paper rpgs. They're in a bit of a golden age currently.
I do agree that games these days are significantly less impressive from a non-graphical point of view than in previous generation. It seems for the most part that gameplay and immersive story telling are sacrificed for graphical fidelity which is all fair in somewhat fair in the age of HD and 4K that we live in. Eventually we will reach a point where there isn't anything groundbreaking that can be added graphically so I think the focus will shift to gameplay and story again fairly soon, or at least that's my belief.
That being said there are definitely some exceptions to that rule. Games like the Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite and the Witcher 3 do a lot more with what they've got than most games of this generation. I'm sure there are plenty of others too but I haven't been keeping up to date as of late because I've only really been playing Overwatch and various PS1 games.
I am however really excited to play the new Final Fantasy when it comes out.
Pretty stale personally. Need something to catch the advancing generation.
