Taken out of context. It doesn't have long-term effects (except on the lungs Ive heard) on your brain, but this use of weed is VERY occasional for people who are actually in need of weed as medicine. Not everyone is the same. There are different motivations for why people do different things. It really comes down to mindset. Similar to "fuck you" means something different from your ex who may be serious as it does from your best friend who may be joking, or why a movie may be better the second time, or how reading a good book again is like an entirely new experience.
