It's a bit more advanced and a bit harder to get used to, a steeper learning curve. If you're going to pirate FL Studio though, you should pirate some samples too, beats and melodies and stuff like that to use in your songs. Make an account and download as many samples as you want.
I use Samples occasionally, because they're fun to throw in and reverse/glitch/warp/distort to make your own sound.
