NO! Get a 3DS. Or save it for the Wii U. I think a 3DS is $180 now. And there are always deals for 3DS games, especially at Best Buy. I think right now it's buy 2 get 1 free. Before they had a sale with all the launch titles for only $5. Shit's crazy.

They did a lot more than add a DVD player. It's more powerful than the PS3, graphics-wise. It has a heavily upgraded online system that automatically makes all games online interactive. You can essentially play all the games for the Wii U including both downloadable games and on-disc, graphics-intensive, modern games portably (at least within wireless range of the console) with no lag, including non-games like the Internet browser and other online features.
Anywho, get a 3DS then if you aren't a fan of the Wii U.
