When I caught my last ex cheating on me, I walked over to the guy, ken, who she was cheating on me with and kissed him on the mouth and walked away.
She felt cheated
He felt disgusted (And he didn't know who I was)
So I hung outside for a minute and heard him try to explain to her that he's not gay and he didn't "know that guy" and she was trying to explain to him that I was her boyfriend and that alone destroyed everything they had.
That's the best tactic I found to work.
