Well I opened up my pc out of boredom and found out that I had an external hard drive that MAY replace it , I didn't wanna do anything cause It was my first time but I Consider trying to Change it :D
Well here is a Picture of the One in my Laptop:

Are you trying to put a laptop hardrive into a freaking desktop O_o
You can just buy an external hard drive and when you start up your computer have it boot from there.

Probably can but depends on the connectors like aleena said and it might have to stay out of your laptop depending on its model and size.
Yea, it'll work. They're both SATA. Make sure you have an OS installation disk first before you do it.
How do you know the second one is SATA Tom?

You can't just copy windows for it to work.
Yea, you need to download a .iso of Windows and burn it to a DVD. Or, you can download Norton Ghost or something similar to make a bit-by-bit image from one HD to another.Quote:
