What tastes never delude to humans over time?

I sure am asking alot of odd questions arent I?

So far I have found.

Salt
Vinegar
Jalapenos

But I cant seem to find some lower tastes that just have a good smooth flavor to them, it seems like the only ones have a strong kick to them.

Soo agreed on salt , what about bread ? And mint
