Hard to get hired. Make you work bitch hours via midnight releases. They now favor hiring women because how better to pursued nerds to pre-order games and than have women out of their league ask them to.
Thanks Coffin and at the last part i agree. My sister was looking for jobs and she was signing up for a gamestop job and the manager was a lady so she told her that she would get hired if she wanted the job because they need more women instead of men to get more buyers.
Work at clothing stores you like. Get dat discount, and they hire just about anybody lol
Never worked at gamestop but I did work at the competitor game crazy when it was still around.
It was by far one of the shittiest jobs I've had. Mostly because my manger was a passive aggressive crack head.
It was alright though. You got some random hours and midnight releases. You had to fill out pawn slips, sell the random members cards, ect.
If you didn't meet your goals to sell the stupid member cards (like every other job) they'd get really pissy.
The only real redeeming thing about that job was being able to buff out the scratches in your games for like a dollar and free expired snickers.
Oh and the fact you got to play games about a week before their release. Not sure what gamestop's policy on that is.
Also if you work somewhere ghetto you might get robbed. Haha we had that happen about fifteen minutes after I hopped off shift.
My manager ended up chasing them down and tried to get back the game systems they stole. Lol
@Coffin: You wouldn't have been able to go to E3 working at a game store anyways. I think you'd actually have to be a higher rank than a district manager. You'd have a better chance getting in via some random media company. Too bad E3 isn't open to the public anymore. I always wanted to go since like ever.
