IMO as long as you can understand what the person is saying, then it's not that big of a deal. What really bothers me is people that can't spell, and unfortunately, that is a real problem for many people.

There is this thing called "Spell Check". I believe it's automatically implemented into all browsers now. If a word is under lined with red, you right click it -> select correct spelling -> smack your self in the face -> continue on with your day.

Even I stepped up my punctuation, though usually (besides commas), I'm usually far too lazy to punctuate properly. If I do, I tend to leave out the very last period.
