Would You?

Say someone you know invites you to work on a project with them, in a team. The project revolves around programming and they want you on board even if you have little programming skills. You wouldn't know if the process or results are legal or not too. Would you accept the offer? >.<

Depends on the pay out, how illegal, and how much I could possibly learn from it.

I would get full details on the project first.

Full details and look over how much you actually trust this friend.
People can do stupid things. If shit hits the fan, even the closest of friends could drop all contact with you and get it pinned on you with them receiving no consequences.

and if it's really illegal, how traceable will it be.

I think a serious programmer would never join a team unless he knew exactly what their objectives were, what he was being hired to do and how much and when he gets paid.
