I added you. And if you reconsider it, many philosophers of many intellectual backgrounds agreed about recognition being the unique way to surpass the basic, natural condition of the human being to the social and institutional way of living (into organized groups of men).
The point is that those debaters maybe divaricated in some themes such as religion, but they all agreed about recognition being the basis of modern societies. I take Rousseau, Montesquieu, Loke and even Hobbes as examples (sorry for misusing some words, I am actually google translating from french).
