No real location in mind, just out of Pennsylvania, and not eastcoast.
I don't really want to stay in one place too long.

As for how, either drive take a plane then chillax in one of the 50$ hotel/motels we have over here.
Brazil, or England. One of the two.

Key West is an interesting place, wild chickens and 9 toed cat wander the small island and everyone there lives pretty much like you assume they would.
Vegas is stupid. If you find the right places in Cali you can have an interesting experience or two. You could go to Mexico or Canada. The prior is a bit more dangerous and the latter is well cold and boring but will let you drink if you're 18.
I'd say go to NYC but you might not be able to fund yourself living there or even being in town for more than a week. Though you could set up in Jersey and schlep into the city.

Louisiana is about to go into Mardi Gras Carnival season. Lasts up until March 8. I recommend Baton Rouge; New Orleans will be overcrowded.

Mardi Gras. The only event where you can have coconuts thrown at you, see more naked people than at trip to a announced Spring Break spot, wade through urine, and be killed for plastic beads as well as use them to get women to take off their clothing.
