I have already made a Logical Gamers Guild on Legend of Edda if any of you LGer's want to join post here and we can meet up in the games so that I can add you. It's cool if you don't, it is a good game tho.
it's just like any other mmo actually. Nothing distinguishes it, so it's not that good of a game. Of course just like any other mmo, it's thoroughly entertaining for those who enjoy the genre.
This. It is literally a cookie cutter mmorpg with broken english text and korean voice acting. The ability to not pan the camera and how slow you run draws away from how fun the game is. Some of the visuals are cute and whatnot but in the end it's just another mmo that tries to emulate RO's previous success.Quote:

The server I use to play is gone and won't be back up in running for a while. In regards to running it's just as slow as any other game at least to me, on the plus sides you get mounts. I can agree the Engrish is hella crazy and sometimes it drives me crazy. Over all I just wanted a game to play with everyone and it was the first one I could get my boyfriend to play with me.

Just in case you needed clarification, I'll start with what "cookie cutter" means. It's a shape (gingerbread man, christmas tree etc) used to press into cookie dough to give the same shaped cookie every time.
"Cookie cutter" as applied to MMO's refers to a growing number of (usually) "free to play" MMO's springing up (mostly out of Asia). For the most part, subtle design elements aside they are pretty much the same, bearing remarkable similar interfaces and almost identical game mechanics. Often they feature an "Item Mall" though the name of it can vary, where players spend real world money to buy in-game items (which is how the "free to play" ones cover their costs)
Generally such games are *extremely* crowded, often with dozens of players milling about in the main "town area". This is is because many of the "pay to play" MMO's favor English speaking players, and these "cookie cutter" tend to be more Asian friendly.
In short, "cookie cutter" MMO's can be fun if you're not particularly interested in a "story" for your MMO, and you have no money to spend on one of the more polished "pay to play" games.
