Ok, guys so this is my last resort. After about two hours of searching through web pages I still cannot find a solution so I have finally come to the LG community. I am currently using windows vista and need to install the active X installer however, after going into the "turn windows feature on and off" section of "programs" in "control panel" I have found that somehow, I must have uninstalled active x and now cannot figure out how to reinstall it. Active X seems to be an optional function for windows vista and normally would be disabled unless enabled by administrator permissions however, I cannot find a download for the actual active x program and not "active x controls".

Hmmm, do you have System Restore enabled?
If so, try and restore to a previous date, it should work from there.
If not you MAY have to do the repair option on the install CD, I dunno if it will fix it but it might.
I'll go ask around on another forum to see what they say, I'll update this post if I find anything.Apply for BCK Hacking Crew! Read this link for more info.

Thanks for the info. Might try the install CD but as for system restore, it would seem I'm out of luck.

If you need a small OS get Tiny XP (if you prefer XP, this OS fits on a single CD) or Tiny7 (it SHOULD fit on a CD, if not a DVD)
Go to The Pirate Bay and search it up, it's by eXPer1ence.Last edited by zzGoWR; 13 Dec. 2010 at 01:28am.

Tiny 7 fits on a cd with room to spare, but has some known .NET framework issues.
If you're going for a tiny OS, go for XP.
As for installing ActiveX, try installing the latest version of Internet Explorer.
IE is always bundled with ActiveX, and is worth a shot.
Disco is neat.

Thanks to everyone for their help, new I could count on you guys. Installing a new version of Internet Explorer seems to have done the job and everything is working smoothly.

Well, I only said Tiny7 because of a certain error I encountered while trying to use TinyXP...
Not ALL new laptops can run Windows XP, due to a few driver error's n shit.
For example, on my Dell Latitude E6400, I installed TinyXP and the sound driver wouldn't install due to a OS error.
Get TinyXP if you want stability and customization, Tiny7 if you want the features / theme of windows 7Apply for BCK Hacking Crew! Read this link for more info.
