Help, fighting...

Ok so like there this guy that lives in my neighbor hood and he keeps trying to fight me and he's gradually getting more violent each time I see him and i'm starting to wonder if I do fight him ( wich I dont want to do) if I can win, I have been in muay thai boxing classes for about 3 months and im fairly confident in my skills , but I haven't been in a real fight yet let alone sparring with anyone..
Hes kinda big and pretty strong from all the times he pushed me when he was just ,'' playing''
I already tried asking him to stop but he dosent he just calls me a punk and a pussy and ,'' roasts'' on me in front of our friends... Im just looking for oppions on weather or not I should fight him or just stear away and ditch my friends when he comes around...

you'll be surprised how well you'll do. I've been in Taekwondo for 14 years, and I've never been in a real fight, and I've never really been in a real spar until just a few months ago. I didn't think I could fight well since I've never been in a real one, but you'll be amazed how quickly and effectively your skills have developed.
TRy your best to avoid fighting him as much as you possibly can, but IF it comes down to it in the end, I'm pretty confident you'll be well enough to win.
The thing about martial arts though, is we're taught to read people's actions. We see what they see as a next move. It's strategic and impulsive where as people who can't fight or don't do any form of martial arts, don't have a strategy. Their movements are all just swings hoping they hit something. So it's harder to read. But if you can take a hit and deliver one back, then you'll come out a victor.

Thanks for your comment and I 100% agree with you , but ^^^ that up there is what worries me is that he will just rush at me swinging and I won't beable to react in time :(

There is a difference between real fighting a sparing. You may know every thing you\'d need to know in a fight but it all comes down to whether or not during that moment you can do it. Fighting isn\'t about memorization, it\'s being able to act upon those moves with out thinking. Knowing every move in the book but not being able to act upon them with out thinking will get your ass kicked. Especially if you freeze up in a fight. In any case I don\'t suggest fighting him but if it gets to the point you can\'t handle, just call the cops. You\'ll do more damage that way then anything else. Besides if he wants to fight you, why are you giving in? Do you think it will make it better in all actuality? Best case scenario, you kick his ass, then what? That\'s no guarantee he\'ll lay off you after that, though there is a chance. Personally if he laid a hand on me I\'d call the cops, and press charges. Trust me, Juive sucks more than just getting your ass kicked. Or at least it might make him think twice about being a douche. No offense to raivu but just because he\'s confident you may win doesn\'t mean you will. If this guy has any experience fighting that\'s an advantage over you. There is a much greater difference between Raivu\'s 14 years and your 3 months. Even then I\'ve know people who\'ve been doing karate or some other martial art get their ass handed to them by some kid with a lot of experience street fighting. In the just remember if you get in a fight don\'t be afraid of anything, hesitation will get your ass knocked down.

I see what your saying Clover but like I was really trying to keep the police out of the situation because the last think I want it to be Labled ,'' The kid that called the cops cause he was scared to fight'' But I do take your comment into much consideration :)

In some ways it's better to be label the kid that called the cops because he was afraid to fight fight, than the loser kid who go his skull cracked on the pavement. Lol I don't see what the big deal is. If people are going to judge you for calling the cops they can go fuck themselves. Who ever would be as so childish to even consider the idea isn't worth your time, they really aren't. Anyways regardless of what you choose I hope it all works out for the best in the end. C:

I only read your post, cba to read the thread. BUT!

I have gotten into many fights before, and 9/10 chances you will win if you play it right.

You never want to let your guard down, and keep some distance, if you have to. Wear a jock.
Use your skills from muay thai, It will help, trust me. When I fought I used my Taekwondo skills, and a bit of common sense.

Or if you dont want to fight him, be the bigger man and walk away.

OR just use some brass knuckles.

Don't worry about it, that's where the only question you need to worry about is "if it ends up happening, can I take the hit and deliver back an even harder one?"
You're allowed to get hit in a fight, you just need to be able to take it, work with it, and throw it back in their face twice as hard

You win some you lose some it doesn't matter but i don't like fighting ethier i been into 2 fights in my whole life [Without my brother] and i won both but they were in middle school they were pussys.

Now i just try to avoid fights cause fights just get you into more trouble and why fight?
