Ouch I'm sorry are they going to be alright/doing any better?
She was on life support, and I heard she was starting to breathe over it, so I guess thats a good sign.
They said it was too soon to tell though to see what damage had been done to her brain. Her heart stopped for 20 minutes.
She'll be fine.

When I clicked on this thread I sneezed.
If her heart stopped for 20 minutes, that means oxygen isn't reaching the brain. When oxygen isn't reaching the brain, cells in the brain die from not receiving oxygen. So in that 20 minutes, she could be brain dead unfortunately, or have suffered MAJOR brain damage. The only instance in which the brain can go without an hour of oxygen is when you are submerged in freezing waters. I am sorry this has happened but you must face the fact that she could never wake up.
I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully some how she'll be okay. It's not the same but my mom as a baby was way overdosed on asprin, they said she had no chance of living and if she did she'd be brain dead or have limited brain function. She has some skin pigmentation issues from the blood poisoning but other than that she grew up totally fine. So I mean there is some sort of hope. I really really really hope that she'll be okay.
