How to sell programs on LG?

I have several ideas for programs to sell. The problem is that I have no way of marketing these ideas to you. If I tell you my offers, I risk the possibility of someone realizing the method I'm using. That breeds competition to sell an item or service in limited supply.

Recently I mentioned that I'm able to effectively spoof PMs. I can sell this as a service to you. The problem with this is that the information I can give you is highly limited. If I provide too much, someone will figure it out and become a competitor. I have other ideas that are even more risky to even mention.

How do I go about solving this problem? I really don't have many ideas.
I've considered a few things but most basically come down to:
A screened list of subscribers. They must be above a set post count, reputation, etc to make sure they aren't just some mule trying to infiltrate. They must be examined and proven to have no programming skill or past experience with exploits (no releases on LG [of significant complexity] and that sort of thing). These subscribers would be offered my ideas, and a number would be decided for payment and whatnot. It's an imperfect system.

Do any of you have this problem LG? If so, how do you solve it? Do you just not worry about it?

no, but. basically, you don't come to them; they come to you (in a sense). you wait for perfect opportunities (e.g. someone has an idea for a program that could theoretically be possibly made). you IM that person in privacy. ask for specifications and other criteria along those lines (included but not limited to payment form [form in which the user pays for said product], etc). then sit back and let the battle of speed begin (metaphorically meaning you have to beat the other people out to subdue the customer(s)). which in my experience, personally wouldn't be a problem. I've been there and done that. Also persuasion is another key to success.

Oh and a seamless interpretation of the first portion of my post: Server-siding the exploits you're using for the programs you have on stock isn't a bad idea. Give the APIs in use irrelevant names to throw the exploiter that's attempting to hijack your exploit off. I'd personally setup a security framework of some sort if this were a business for me. But meh. It's not so I just go on about what is my business.

The concept of something in itself is enough to point in the direction of the actual exploit. Doing it on the server side would prevent deeper information but not the initial concept. I can't offer an example for obvious reasons.

As for waiting... That sounds fine for every now and then, but, when we ask for program suggestions, we typically get nothing. I don't think people know what they want. This seems like a rare case rather than a semi-active approach (which is what I want).

But, There is absolutely nothing stopping you from doing so, It is simply frowned upon.

May I suggest you create a program with a unique login auth for a website of yours? or generally anything online.


Cant be too hard to establish some form of auth login through wonoes.

Log in > Log IP > Server sends successful login to the persons computer > Function Start

Multiple IP using one login? Restrict access for that authentication. Really this is the only safe way to sell programs across the net. Due to leakers and ect.

Seeing as how you're evidently too dense to catch my drift, I'll let you sit here for a few minutes and examine his post a little more throughly.

Maybe over the course of those few minutes he'll come to this thread and tell you why this isn't exactly what he was asking. You suggested an authorization system. Which is, for starters, irrelevant. Now be a courteous gent and try to piece together the rest of the puzzle.

I actually don't care if it's frowned upon. I have no loyalty to this community. It's a known fact that I despise the general population of LG. I'm a little shocked you thought this was relevant. As for the auth- that's actually not what I was asking. As my post explains, I'm having trouble figuring out a way to contact potential buyers without the possibility of the concept itself giving away the method. If the method is found, my program or service is irrelevant because it creates competition. If my competitor and I go continue lowering the price, one of us will eventually choose to release for free.
