A Tribute to Nujabes (Seba Jun) - Poem of Sky and Sea

Nujabes was truly an amazing artist, and it's very sad to hear that he passed away on, February 26, 2010, in a car accident in Tokyo, Japan. Upon hearing this shocking news, I had to set down all the projects going on at the moment and do a little something in his honour.

His music has been an inspiration to me ever since I first heard of his music through my brother. I hope you can enjoy my remix of 'Tenmon (天門) - Poem of Sky and Sea (空と海の詩)' as a small tribute to this talented artist. I can only hope maybe he can hear this tune wherever he is now. I will miss feeling his presence through his music. He is one of the few artists where I can truly "feel" the music.

Rest in Peace friend, the world will miss you.

Coincidentally, I've already heard this song once, when mourning for Seba while listening to all the tribute songs available.
I remember yours being a very exceptional one - I love it, it reminded me of what Nujabes had always symbolised inside of me.
He's -indeed- one of those rare artists that really make you feel the music...

I wish -one day- I'll be as good as him. Not the same, but merely touching his shadow would be enough.
He's up in heavens now but y'know what... I'll keep my head up, and I'll aim for the skies, just as he did.

One day, I'll go meet him up there as well...
Heh, but for now, I'll enjoy life on Earth, accompanied by the very beauty of this song.

Haha, matey, just to clarify:
Nujabes wasn't a rapper, actually :]

He was a producer who made the beats (=backing music),
afterwards, he used to invite rappers from all over the world to join him in the studio and sing;
I don't know whether he composed the lyrics to some of the songs himself, but I think most
of the original artists did.

Nonetheless, it was all thanks to Nujabes and we all honour him deeply.
