Drawing Medium and Style

Curious of the style/medium that people use to draw. My style tends to be mostly realism, and I mostly draw using grids though now I am shifting towards free-handing most of my drawings. Also, my favorite medium to use would have to be a charcoal pencil. I can work wonders with a charcoal pencil.

Normally I start the sketch with a 2B Charcoal Pencil, then I attack later with a 4B Charcoal pencil in order to add in the different values and everything. But of course, you need your tortillion and kneaded eraser to make sure the values differentiate! But yeah, that's just my style. HOw about you all?
